GIGANTOAD

    1. NOTES

An abnormally large amphibian typically limited to living near bodies of water, the gigantoad is known to venture outside of its figurative comfort zone during downpours, much to the surprise of unsuspecting hikers. Boasting an appetite appropriate for its considerable size, it ravenously consumes prey in large quantities, then hibernates until the next rainy day. This amphibian has developed a sturdy build, adapting to the less-than-favourable conditions in the modern world.

      1. ABILITIES

Its large organs can withstand the toxins of polluted waters, and its capacity to retain water can sustain it for days, even in desert conditions. It can eject its elastic tongue to hit everything in front of it with incredible range, up to forty feet, and it can roll to crush those next to it, a favoured tactic when surrounded at close range, making it safer to attack at range or from behind. Its tongue is also coated with a potent neuro toxin that stuns any who fail to resist its strength, aiding the gigantoad in easily consuming large prey.

        1. HABITAT

Typically hibernated in caves or underground, only emerging during rainy days, prefers wetlands and rain forests where humidity is high.
